A budget is the most powerful tool available for establishing financial control. After identifying short-, mid-, and long-term goals, participants learn how to design realistic spending plans to live within their means and savings plans to reach their goals. Within that framework, different options available for getting out of debt, staying out of debt, and maintaining motivation will be discussed.
Credit reports and credit scores, as well as the rights and responsibilities that accompany them, are a concern to many consumers. This seminar provides an overview of credit bureaus, credit scoring and the Fair Credit Reporting Act as well as specific guidance on disputing inaccuracies and improving the credit score.
This seminar will provide educational information regarding the student loan/financial aid process including helpful guidance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is needed by Financial Aid Offices to determine a student's financial aid eligibility. The seminar will also provide ideas for other educational financing options.
